Today Wednesday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 700 people recovering from the Coronavirus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of who have recovered from the virus to 91,843 cases to date.
Dr Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 121 new cases were recorded that tested positive for virus laboratory tests, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and examination carried out by the ministry in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 16 new cases.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
“Mujahid” stated that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until today, Wednesday, is 102,375 cases, including 91,843 cured cases and 5,822 deaths.
