“Health”: 788 new cases of coronavirus were registered … and 37 deaths

The Ministry of Health and Population announced that 401 Corona virus recoveries have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of those who recover of the virus to 107,563 cases to date.

Dr. Khaled Mujahid, advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 788 new cases were registered that were positive in laboratory analysis of the virus, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and examination that the ministry carries out in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, indicating the death of 37 new ones.

Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.

“Mujahid” said that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Tuesday is 127,061 cases, including 107,563 cured cases and 7,167 deaths.

The Ministry of Health and Population continues to increase its preparations in all the provinces of the Republic, follows the situation of the “emerging corona” virus first-hand and takes all necessary preventive measures against any virus or infectious disease, and the ministry has also assigned a number of media outlets to receive inquiries from citizens on the emerging corona virus and infectious diseases. These include the hotline “105”, “15335” and the WhatsApp number “01553105105”, as well as the “Egypt Health” application available on phones.
