“Health”: 230 new cases of coronavirus … and 23 deaths

On Sunday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 818 people recovering from the coronavirus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of those who have recovered from the virus to 72,120 cases to date.

Dr Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 230 new cases were recorded that tested positive for virus laboratory tests, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and examination carried out by the ministry in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, indicating the death of 23 new cases.

Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.

“Mujahid” stated that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until today Sunday is 98,727 cases, including 72,120 cured cases and 5,399 deaths.

The Ministry of Health and Population continues to make preparations in all the provinces of the Republic, to follow first-hand the situation of the “emerging corona” virus and take all the necessary preventive measures against any virus or infectious disease, and the ministry has also assigned a number of media outlets to receive inquiries from citizens on the emerging corona virus and infectious diseases.
