The Ministry of Health and Population announced, this Tuesday, that 811 Coronavirus recuperators have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical attention and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of those who recover from the virus to 91,143 cases to date.
Dr Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 113 new cases were registered that tested positive for virus laboratory tests as part of the necessary surveillance procedures investigation and examination carried out by the ministry in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 19 new cases.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
“Mujahid” said that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Tuesday is 102,254 cases, including 91,143 cured cases and 5,806 deaths.
