“Health”: 109 new cases of coronavirus … and 14 deaths

On Saturday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 131 people recovering from the coronavirus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of those who recover from the virus to 97,274 cases to date.

Dr Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 109 new cases were recorded that tested positive for virus laboratory tests, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and examination carried out by the ministry in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, indicating the death of 14 new cases.

Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.

“Mujahid” said that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until today, Saturday, is 103,575 cases, including 97,274 cured cases and 5,970 deaths.

The Ministry of Health and Population continues to increase its preparations in all the provinces of the Republic, follows first-hand the situation regarding the “emerging corona” virus and takes all necessary preventive measures against any virus or infectious disease, and the ministry also has assigned a number of media outlets to receive inquiries from citizens on the emerging coronavirus and infectious diseases.
