Sayed Abdel Hafeez, Al-Ahly football coach, confirmed that South African Pitso Musimane, the new coach of the red team, did not take the time to meet the players.
In a telephone statement to the Al-Ahly channel, Abdel Hafeez said Monday night: “Musimani did not take the time to get to know the team, and he calls the players by their names because he knows them.”
He added: “Musimane has been in Africa for five or six years and knows the players and their potential very well.”
He continued: “Musimane was able to make a remarkable change in the team’s form, and he’s also interested in the little details.
For his part, Abdel Hafeez confirmed that Mahmoud Kahraba, the team’s player, is close to declaring his willingness to be in the technical accounts of the Moroccan Wydad match scheduled for next Friday in the second leg of the African semifinals.
He explained that the player is doing very well in implementing his qualification program, and is very close to returning to group training.
He concluded: “Kahraba will be close to joining the team roster in Wydad’s next game, as seen by the coaching staff led by Musimani, if he finally recovers from the injury, and in light of the preparation process that is very well done. “.
It is noteworthy that Al-Ahly, led by Musimani, set foot in the final match of the African Champions League, after achieving a beautiful off-field victory over Wydad with a brace from Mohamed Magdi Afsha and Ali Maaloul.
