Today Sunday, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly chaired the meeting of the Supreme Committee for Coronavirus Crisis Management, with the participation of several ministers and officials, through videoconference technology.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister confirmed that in recent days there was a significant increase in the number of infected people, forcing this meeting to be held to discuss the measures that will be followed in the coming days to limit the spread of the virus. .
Counselor Nader Saad, spokesman for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, stated that the meeting witnessed discussions on a series of files, and it was emphasized that all the celebrations for the New Year were canceled and measures were taken to close any facilities to organize any celebration, in addition to the total ban on wedding tents and condolences and any gathering.
Emphasis was placed on stopping the events, celebrations or festivals during the next period, and the complete closure of the function rooms, and the total emphasis on all hotels with respect to the numbers specified in the wedding, and that they are only in places open.
Regarding the role of the events, a directive has been issued that regarding the role of the events that are proven to be violated and belong to entities of the country, those responsible will be referred for immediate investigation, and in the event that they are affiliated with any of the associations, the fine will be applied and action will be taken against the association’s board of directors.
