The Director of the Emergency Program Information Management Program stated that Egypt was the second country affected in the region by Corona, and the number of cases increased to a peak in late June, then cases decreased in early August. less than 200 cases per day.

“The trend in the region is to increase the number of cases again due to the return of travel, the lifting of confinement measures and the increase in social interaction, and due to the low number, people believe that the pandemic has ended So they don’t take precautionary measures, “Nepeth said.

He noted that the climate component also has a role in increasing the number of HIV infections, adding: “There is a climatic element, as it is more likely, like respiratory diseases, to see an increase in the number of cases, and then we are more likely to see an increase in cases in the coming weeks in Egypt. “
