This came in Dr. Ahmed Al-Mandhari’s speech at the 67th session of the organization’s regional committee for the Eastern Mediterranean, which takes place electronically, for the first time, on Sunday and Monday.
The Director of the WHO Regional Office in the Eastern Mediterranean added through his words and said that we have taken the utmost care so that the Corona virus is the focus of our work in the session to unify our visions in the region.
Response efforts are also coordinated and the maximum benefit is made and it is from the available expertise and from standing in line to face the damages we are inflicting on it, and we seek the help of what we have learned from the values of cooperation and brotherhood, who explained that injuries have been registered in the region since the end of last January.
As of yesterday, the number of injured has reached almost 2.6 million, and that is in addition to 66,515 deaths, and all the health ministers of 22 countries in the WHO Eastern Mediterranean Region are communicating electronically.
This is for health issues to be discussed during that session and country representatives will discuss the main priority public health issues that have an impact of the pandemic virus on the agenda.
