René Fyler, technical director of the Al-Ahly Club, confirmed that the numerous injuries of his team caused several adjustments in the positions of the players during the border guards meeting.
Speaking to the post-match press conference, Fyler noted, however, that Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim “Kahraba” is not physically ready to participate in the next match against Al-Ismaili.
“Injuries made us adjust the positions of some players during the game,” said Fyler.
He continued: “Kahraba has ended his suspension and is ready to participate against the Ismaili, but he has been away from their presence for a while and will not be physically ready in the current period.”
He explained: “There is no place reserved for any player in our basic formation, Kahraba’s participation, and his presence with us depends on his good appearance in training and his high physical level.”
He concluded: “Kahraba will not participate in the next match from the start, but she may have a chance in several minutes during the match.”
It is worth noting that Al-Ahly defeated the border guards with two clean goals tonight, Monday, in round 25 of the Egyptian We League, before facing Ismaily in the next round.
