Dr. Tariq Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, held a press conference today, at the Ministry’s general office, to explain how to complete the educational content of the first semester and prepare for the exams of the transfer and high school classes, first and second secondary grade and related topics.

Dr. Tarek Shawky emphasized that the Egyptian state has always emphasized its enthusiasm for the safety of all members of the educational system for our children first, then the teachers, administrators and all the workers of the educational system and the entire Egyptian people.

Dr. Tariq Shawky announced a package of solutions in the interest of the health and safety of all members of the educational process, including students, faculty, and teachers, and are as follows:

– In accordance with the president’s directives to amend the time map in a way that allows the continuation of the school year work and at the same time does not expose all members of the system to danger, it was decided to cancel attendance in schools of all kinds from January 2, 2021 until the start of the mid-year rental, which will start from January 16 to February 20, 2021..

– Postpone all exams that were scheduled to take place this semester (paper, practical and electronic) until after the end of the mid-year break, if conditions stabilized internally due to the spread of the Corona pandemic, applying this to all kinds of education and its different levels.

– Complete the teaching of the study plan as of next Saturday, January 2, 2021, until the end of the first semester of the 2020/2021 academic year, in the distance education system, with compliance with the basic requirements and obtaining the minimum standards to complete the curriculum without withdrawing from the curriculum.

Dr. Tariq Shawqi, Minister of Education and Technical Education, confirmed that the ministry had invested in many educational media over the past period, beginning with the spread of the Corona pandemic, including:

– Our school channels (Our School 1, Our School 2):

Set of channels launched by the Ministry of Education and Technical Teaching to disseminate didactic lessons for the different educational stages according to a weekly broadcast schedule that will be announced from the current academic year 2020/2021, in addition to the educational channels issued by the specialized channel sector, and these channels are broadcast by satellite and terrestrial. And the announcement of the weekly broadcast schedule on the ministry’s Facebook page and the official website of the Ministry of Education.

Provides new learning methods and a fluid explanation of the curriculum in a fun and interactive online way, provided by expert teachers in their field, plus questions about each lesson that support the new assessment system for secondary stage, and the platform contains multiple educational resources from the Egyptian Knowledge Bank.

The main source of study for high school students, as it includes interactive digital content linked to the curriculum to help the student better understand, and know the learning outcomes available in each lesson through interactive content that includes texts, articles , drawings, images and videos for each topic or lesson in the curriculum, as well as Exercises that help the student to assess their understanding of the topic and correct mistakes.

It includes digital scientific content for all educational levels in multimedia (video – images – documentaries), in addition to making available for use more than 80 dictionaries and glossaries, books from the Butterfly Encyclopedia and multidisciplinary content for the years of the new educational system.

It is a platform launched by the Ministry to communicate between students and teachers remotely, since about 22 million students distributed in about 55 thousand schools were able to communicate with the teacher as if they were at school, in order to explain lessons educational, answer student inquiries and deliver research projects.

It is a platform launched by the Ministry to disseminate reviews of high school students and technical diplomas during the 2019/2020 academic year, prior to the high school certification exams and technical diplomas.

A platform launched by the Ministry to clarify the methods of using the educational platforms announced by the Ministry, while explaining the methods of using each platform on its own and providing a comprehensive guide for our students to complete the educational process.

Shawky added that investing in these platforms allows us to complete the school year and students benefit from it, as for high school students, they have tablets and chips to access the Internet, and they also have an educational TV channel in addition to a platform. learning on the tablet and have an ADMOMODO platform and e-lessons to complete the school year from home. The Minister of Education and Technical Education affirmed that we made these decisions to avoid the peak period in the spread of the Coronavirus, wishing safety for all members of the Egyptian people and all elements involved in the educational system during the next period.
