The arrival of the Japanese handball team witnessed the application of strict precautionary measures from the stairs of the plane when receiving them on a tournament bus to implement a door-to-door system to counter the Corona virus.
The Japanese team is the first to arrive in Cairo to participate in the World Championship, which kicks off in Egypt on January 13.
The national handball team plans to face Japan in two friendlies on January 5 and 7, and an agreement is currently being reached with the Brazilian team to play a third friendly before the start of the World Cup.
For his part, Hisham Nasr, president of the Organizing Committee for the Handball World Cup, confirmed that the organizing committee is working on trying everything in the World Cup with all the details so as not to leave anything to circumstances or chance, especially the new stadiums.
Nasr indicated that the committee plans to have the two Japan experiences, scheduled for January 5 and 7, at Cairo Stadium Hall, a true integrated rehearsal for the organization, in the presence of the masses with the experience of volunteers and all the details to make the rehearsal live and realistic for the opening match, testing the organization, entering and leaving the masses, using the facilities of the pavilion, etc.
The organizing committee of the World Cup, headed by Hisham Nasr, is ready to follow all the details of the tournament under the supervision of Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, who does a daily follow-up of all the big and small in preparation for the launch of the World Cup.
The Organizing Committee of the Egypt 2021 World Handball Championship announced that the matches of the Egyptian team will be played at seven in the afternoon, beginning on January 13 at the Cairo International Stadium, and the Pharaohs will start the World Championship matches against Chile, then the Czech Republic on January 16 and finally Sweden on January 18 in Group Seven.
