Egyptian star Mohamed Salah has come under fire for his recent performances after questions about his future with Liverpool were raised amid news that Real Madrid and Barcelona wanted him.

Don Hutchinson, a former Liverpool star, spoke about his performance during this period with the “Reds”, which he believes is not the best period with the England team.

Hutchinson said in a statement to Optus Sport: “I think Mohamed Salah is a world-class player, but he frustrates the public every time they see him play football, not just because of the way he finishes off attacks.”

He continued: “What bothered me is the simple things, he cannot complete a pass of more than ten yards, and he seems imprecise in those matters, just a normal player.”

He added: “Sometimes it interrupts the flow of Liverpool’s performance, it can yield the ball and Liverpool have to start over every time.”

He concluded his speech: “The news that Real and Barcelona wanted to attract him may have affected him a little, but it seems to be far-fetched.”

Al-Masry generated speculation about the possibility of his departure from his team, Liverpool, in the transfer market next summer, after a long dialogue he had recently with the Spanish newspaper “AS”.

Mohamed Salah, 28, who is currently the English Premier League’s top scorer with 13 goals, has a contract with Liverpool until the end of June 2023.
