Al-Arabiya sources revealed that military units belonging to the Egyptian navy will participate with Russia in maneuvers in the Black Sea, the first of their kind.
According to sources, these exercises will be one of the largest naval military exercises in the region.
The maneuvers include various combat missions and various modern warfare missions, and one of their objectives will be to prevent arms smuggling.
The pieces were moved from Egyptian bases in the Mediterranean, and will cross the Bosphorus Strait and the Sea of Marmara to get there.

Last July, the Egyptian and French navies carried out transitory naval training in the Mediterranean, with the participation of the Egyptian stealth frigate “Tahya Masr” and the French stealth frigate ACONIT.
The training included many professional training activities that focused on methods of organizing cooperation in conducting combat missions at sea against hostile maritime formations with the actual use of weapons in the confrontation with land and air targets, in addition of the implementation of collision battles, with the use of maritime helicopters, according to the military spokesman.
