Dr Khaled Mujahid, a media adviser to the Ministry of Health and Population, revealed the initial date to provide the Chinese vaccine for Corona in Egypt if its efficacy is proven.
Last Tuesday, the Ministry of Health announced the intention to sign a cooperation agreement between the Egyptian and Chinese sides in the field of the manufacture of vaccines against the coronavirus during the month of September.
Mujahid told Masrawy on Saturday that the Chinese company confirmed the end of the third phase of the experiments, and is on the way to finalizing the procedures to demonstrate its effectiveness and obtain approval from the “FDA”, provided that Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health, traveled to China to sign the cooperation agreement, and move on. In carrying out the rest of the procedures within the company “Vacsera” in Egypt.
He added: “We have about 4 months to reach the Corona vaccine product in Egypt.”
Previously, the Minister of Health monitored the efficiency of the infrastructure and the efficiency of the equipment in the factories of the company “Vaxira” to know all their needs and the challenges they could face to work on their immediate solution, and discussed the number of doses to be produced and the production capacity of the Corona virus vaccine after completing all the experiments and demonstrating its effectiveness, including sufficient needs of Egypt and also expanding to export to African countries, since Egypt will be considered the center of vaccine manufacturing in the African continent.
