Zamalek are heading to renew the contracts of some of their players, including captain Mahmoud Abdel Razek “Shikabala”, as Ashraf Qasim, the club’s general supervisor of football, explained the current position on player Mustafa Mohamed’s desire to go professional.
Former team star Ashraf Qasim said: “The next term will see the renewal and extension of some contracts for players like Ferjani Sassi, Youssef Ibrahim (Obama) and Mahmoud Jensh.”
“It is possible to renew Shikabala for two years,” Kassem added on the radio show, Al-Saqr Stadium. “He continues with us until he declares that he will not stay. He is a symbol and leader of the team in and out of the stadium, and we need those personalities.”
In another context, he pointed out, “Mustafa Mohamed’s professionalism is a thorny record because he is the best striker in the Egyptian league. We urgently need him, especially since Omar Al-Saeed has recently moved due to his contagion of the Corona virus” .
And he continued, “Mustafa strongly aspires to professionalism, and to follow in the footsteps of Mohamed Salah, but it is necessary to deliberate in the decision, and determine the availability of an alternative or not. We are definitely looking for the interest of the club and the player.”
Ashraf Qasem concluded his comments: “I had a session with Mustafa Muhammad before the Arab Contractors game, and he scored a goal in overtime, an indication of his concentration throughout the game.”
Mustafa revealed his desire for foreign professionalism earlier, and reports say that major Turkish clubs are looking to hire him.
Mostafa starred last season with Zamalek and scored 11 goals in the Egyptian Premier League.
