Hisham Ibrahim, deputy director of the committee in charge of managing Zamalek’s affairs, revealed that the priority now is to preserve the club’s football team.
Ibrahim told a press conference at the club: “The temporary committee came to the club on the basis of the club’s regulations, in accordance with article 15, and we dealt with all club business in accordance with the current regulations.”
He added: “Some committees have been formed, which are the Executive Committee and the Three Kings Committee. Their mission is to fix the house from the inside and maintain the soccer team.”
He continued: “The soccer team has parted ways with the events witnessed by the club, submissions have been provided to player contracts and renewal will be done for various stars.”
“The team’s players lived up to the responsibility, and that was evident in the stunning victory over the Arab Contractors in the first round of the league competition,” he explained.
Regarding the financial situation, he added that the council is considering seeking the help of a financial council to assist the temporary committee.
He explained: “The committee will fulfill its mission in full force until the club is handed over, and the committee will work on everything that is in the interest of the Zamalek Club, and I want to thank all parties, clubs and fans who supported the committee and to the club in the last period. “
The vice president of the committee added that the executive office and the committee of sages have been formed, and there will be an advisory committee, which will include Omar Battisha, club media adviser, Fawzi Al-Aryan as the club’s legal adviser, the system of media led by Essam Salem, Ashraf Qasim, official spokesman for the football sector, and Tariq Hash, financial advisor.
Ibrahim emphasized: “There are financial issues that govern us in hiring new players, and our priority is to keep the current team.”
He continued: “We did not contact Al-Ahly about the Century Club issue. We have no differences with anyone, and we are not affiliated with anyone. We are the same distance from everyone.”
And he added: “It is still early to talk about the elections.”
