Team Wydad, Al-Ahly’s competitor in the African Champions League, is playing its decisive match against host Al-Fateh Rabat in the final round of the Moroccan League, being deprived of the services of some players for various reasons.

Sunday’s Al-Fateh Rabati match is Wydad’s last test before facing Al-Ahly in the first leg of the CAF Champions League semi-finals next Saturday in Morocco.

Moroccan website Le360 Sport stated that Wydad will face Al-Fateh without Ivorian Sheikh Brahima Kumara, Ayoub Al-Amloud and Sofiane Karkash due to the injury.

Ashraf Dary will be absent because his name was removed from the team’s roster during the second half of the season.

Haitham Al-Bahjah and Mohamed Al-Sidani will be absent for technical reasons, while Kazadi Kasengo will be absent due to his commitment to the two friendlies from the Democratic Republic of the Congo during the international suspension.

The victory of Wydad and his rivals Raja, Zamalek’s rival in the African Champions League, stumbled upon the Royal Army, which would award Wydad the league title.

Raja has 57 points, compared to 56 for Wydad and 54 for Nahdet Berkane.

Which means that Wydad’s victory in the last round over the Royal Army will give him the Moroccan League title regardless of the results of his rivals.
