Mahmoud Wadi, the striker for the new Pyramids club, said that he had achieved his ambition from a young age to play for a great club, indicating that he aspires to win the league title with his team and has the ambition and capabilities to do so.
“I am very happy to be in Pyramids. I achieved my ambition from a young age to play for a great club. The negotiations went smoothly and did not require a long time. I will do my best to prove myself,” Wadi said in his presentation conference.
He added: “I will try to show that I am a great addition to the Pyramids Club, just as the club represents a great addition to me. I will do my best with my teammates to achieve the club’s ambitions and win championships.”
“I chose to join Pyramids for 3 reasons, the first is the extreme professionalism with which the club deals, the second is my ambition, which matches their ambition, and the third is the technical aspect, because the club has a great constellation and he is very well known in Arab football in general.
“The competition will be honorable with my teammates, Dudu Al-Gabas and John Antwi, who have great experience in the Egyptian League. I hope the competition will be of interest to the club and we will win the championships in the new season.”
“We are capable of winning the league, our ambition to compete for the championships, and we have the capabilities and the ambition to achieve that,” he added.
“The Palestinian player in general has the ability to show the whole world that he is capable of being in the best clubs. The brilliance of the Palestinian players did not come from a vacuum, the son of Palestine is always full of challenges and competition. I used to have internal and external performances, but preferred the pyramids for the reasons I mentioned earlier. “
On Wednesday, Pyramids announced the annexation of Wadi, with a permanent contract running until 2024 from Al-Masry Al-Port Said.
Amr Bassiouni, Hiring Director of the Pyramids Club, spoke at the Mahmoud Wadi presentation conference on the contract period and how to conduct negotiations.
Bassiouni said: “We signed with him for 4 years, which made him a strong addition to the club and we are happy to be with us.”
He continued: “The value of the contract is completely satisfactory and appropriate, and the Egyptian will receive the financial value in various installments. The negotiations were very easy and the player signed the contracts and preferred Pyramids to various offers.”
He continued: “There were offers from the Gulf and the Egyptian League, and in the end he chose Pyramids. It is one of a series of new agreements and contracts that he signed to support his ranks in the next stage.”
“The new player will help the club to progress and achieve its goals,” said Mamdouh Eid, CEO of Pyramids Club, at the Mahmoud Wadi launch conference.
Eid said: “We are delighted to have an international player and the best forward in the league in my opinion, which is a great addition to the attack line.”
And he continued, “Wadi is a Palestinian player, and therefore he will be local and not foreign, and will help the club to progress and achieve its goals.”
He concluded: “It was a goal for us because he is distinguished by his height and a goal by nature, and the club is happy to be within their ranks.”
Wadi became the fourth of Pyramids’ deals during the current record period, following Huddersfield’s Ramadan Sobhi, Ahmed Fathi and Sherif Ekrami, Al-Ahly’s duo after the end of their contract with the team.
Wadi ‘had announced his departure from Al-Masry and his move to Pyramids several weeks ago, starting next season.
Wadi ‘said at the time: “I will miss the Egyptian club. It is a great merit for me. I hope that if I had moved to another club, I would not have achieved what I am now.”
He continued: “Moving to a club like Pyramids. This is a great idea that puts a lot of pressure on me. I am obliged to do my best to achieve collective and personal achievements.”
Wadi joined Al-Masry from Al-Ahly two years ago.
The 25-year-old made 75 appearances for Al-Masry, scoring 19 goals and scoring 10 goals.
A source close to the player previously told FilGoal.com: “Mahmoud Wadi signed his transfer contracts to Pyramids after the club agreed with Al-Masry to pay £ 20 million.” (See full details of the player’s contract with Pyramids)
