FIFA’s legal deadline has expired for Etoile Sahel to pay Soleimani Coulibaly’s punishment in favor of Al-Ahly Club.
FIFA had given the Sahel star 45 days – which ended last Monday – to settle a suspended position, otherwise Coulibaly would be suspended for six months and the star would be deprived of the transfer market for three periods.
The Tunisian Foot24 revealed that, despite that, Etoile Sahel is preparing to participate in the Coulibaly in the face of the Hammam-Enf club next Sunday.
The report indicated that the Al-Najm club’s legal committee anticipated the deadline and requested an explanation from FIFA about the penalty decision.
He pointed out that the request for an explanation benefits from an additional period, since this request stops the implementation of the sanction.
Etoile’s management has not received the explanation for FIFA’s decision so far, which means that Coulibaly will participate in upcoming matches, according to the Tunisian report.
The report revealed that Etoile’s management intends to challenge FIFA’s decision in case the reasoning is received at the International Court of Sports, which suspends the application of the sanction and allows Coulibaly to participate in the remaining three matches. of the Tunisian league.
Etoile Sahel is fifth in the standings with 37 points, on goal difference with fourth-placed African.
The first four places will qualify for the continental championships of the new season.
