Helmy Tolan, a former Zamalek star and Enppi coach, denied reports about his permission to receive messages to miss the Zamalek game.

Enppi faces Zamalek tonight, Sunday, in the matches of the 23rd day of the Egyptian League.

Helmy Tulan said in statements toFilGoal.com: “There is no basis in truth for what is reported about receiving a letter asking to skip the meeting.”

He added: “My morals and principles do not allow me to do this at all. I take my conscience into account and play every game with honor and confidence to win.”

Tulane continued: “These rumors are aimed at influencing my team before the important match against Zamalek, and I already beat Zamalek in the first round.”

He concluded: “Zamalek is a large team and one of the poles of Egyptian football and they do not use these methods, but there are those who try to create a crisis by spreading false and unfounded news.”

Some press reports attributed statements to Helmy Tolan saying: “I received messages to miss the Zamalek match”, which was denied to us by the veteran coach of the Egyptian League.

The 70-year-old previously coached Zamalek, and his last tenure was the 2013/2014 season and the Egypt Cup championship with the team.
