Enppi coach Helmy Tolan said Jaime Pacheco is a distinguished coach and can quickly pick up Zamalek papers, and also indicated that Al-Ahly coach Rene Fyler has been puffed up by the media and the masses.
“Pacheco is an outstanding coach and can pick up the Zamalek team cards in the current difficult period,” Tulan said on “On Sports” radio.
He added: “Fyler was exaggerated by the media and the masses. Al-Ahly’s level with him was no better than the level of the team when he was with Hossam Al-Badri during his last term.”
He continued: “It is an honor for any coach to coach Al-Ahly and Zamalek, but I think it is difficult for Al-Ahly to manage a foreign coach now before their fateful matches in the Champions League.”
Zamalek had announced the appointment of Jamie Pacheco as successor to the coach who paid for Patrice Carteron’s departure, and Al-Ahly announced that he would decide the future of his coach, Rene Fyler, on October 1.
“We are building a strong team at Enppi, and I refuse to lose any of their stars, specifically Osama Jalal, either to Al-Ahly or Zamalek,” Tulan said of the future of his team’s defender, Osama Jalal.
“Alexandria Al-Ittihad is a respectable team and they have great players, and our victory against them does not diminish them at all.”
Enppi had beaten Alexandria’s Al-Ittihad 2-0 in the 29th round of the Egyptian League on Friday night.
