Taher Mohamed Taher, the star of El Mokawloon, decided the victory of a team against Haras El Hodoud, in a thrilling match on matchday 26 of the Egyptian League.
The match ended with the Arab Contractors winning by three goals to two to take advantage of the Pyramids loss and climb to third place.
Saif El-Din Al-Jaziri opened the scoring for the contractors in minute 3, before Hassan Magdy equalized in minute 21 and Mohamed Essam snatched the lead from Al-Mokawloon before the end of the first half in minute 47 .
The excitement culminated in the second half in an offensive match between the two teams on match points.
In the 60th minute, the border guards seized on a counterattack, with Grindo alone and fired, but Muhammad Abu Al-Saud deflected brilliantly, so Grindo passed it to Ahmed Shorweda, who missed the opportunity to draw strangely.
The contractors tried to consolidate the victory with a missile shot from Muhammad Salem in the 68th minute, but the crossbar saved the border of the third goal.
Less than two minutes later, Al Hodoud managed to tie through substitute Tony Gomez.
Taher Mohamed Taher won for Al-Mokawloon in the 94th minute, with a missile shot from the left by Ahmed Al-Saadani, the border goalkeeper.
The Arab Contractors’ balance rose to 47 points in third place, beating the Pyramids by two points.
As for the border guards, their score is frozen at 26 points from 25 games in fourteenth place.
Al-Mokawloon will play his next match against Ismaili on Tuesday in round 27 matches.
As for the border guards, they will play their postponed match against Al Masry in round 18 on Monday.
