Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, discussed on Saturday, during his meeting with the five-year committee of the Egyptian Football Association, the stadiums that can be used to resume the matches of the Egyptian Premier League upon his return.
The ministry said in a statement that the meeting aimed to determine the readiness of the Egyptian Football Association to resume activity if the Egyptian state allows it.
Sobhi emphasized that the decision to return to sports activity will be decided by the Egyptian government according to current data, noting the difficulty of resuming matches due to the outbreak of the Corona virus.
Sobhi discussed with the committee the procedures for the elections of the Federation’s board of directors, which must be carried out in coordination with FIFA, FIFA.
Sobhi praised the efforts of the five-year committee in preparing a comprehensive vision for the resumption of the league.
The championship was suspended in March due to the outbreak of the Coruña virus, and with the difficulty of resuming it today, many clubs demanded the cancellation of the season.
