Liverpool’s boisterous seven-year-old against Aston Villa caused a violent earthquake within the club, which could push it into the transfer market in its final hours.
British newspaper “The Independent” reported that Juergen Klopp is upset by the mistakes of his goalkeeper Adrian at Aston Villa, and is considering hiring another replacement for Alison Baker.
The proposed name is the Argentine goalkeeper of Tottenham Hotspur Paulo Gazzaniga.
Gazzaniga, 28, previously played for Southampton and joined Tottenham in 2017, but has always been a substitute for Hugo Lloris.
But with Lloris injured last season, Gazzaniga played 25 games, making special appearances at times, prompting coach José Mourinho to praise him.
With the hiring of Joe Hart this season, the Gazzaniga center declined to be the team’s third goalkeeper, opening the door for his departure this summer.
Alison, Liverpool’s main goalkeeper, suffers from a shoulder injury, which can keep him away for at least 6 weeks, and Klopp is concerned about a repeat of Adrian’s mistakes that cost the team a catastrophic loss to Aston Villa on Sunday night.
In any case, Liverpool have very few hours to resolve their matter, and move to an agreement that, if finalized, would be the last for the Reds this summer.
