Majdi Al-Lawzi, former head of the military sports apparatus, announced his intention to run for the presidency of the Football Association in the elections to be held next January.
Al-Lawzi said in a press release: “My goal is to support and develop Egyptian football, based on my history of sporting achievements and the international tournaments that I have achieved through my leadership in military sports.”
According to the statement issued by Al-Lawzi, he has held various sports positions, including vice president of the Club Committee of the Football Association, former head of the sports apparatus of the Armed Forces, former member of the National Sports Council, member of the Board of Directors of the National Project of Sports Excellence, and member of the Board of Directors of the Vanguardia Army Club, within many other positions.
The International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) announced the appointment of Ahmed Mujahid as head of the tripartite committee for the management of the Egyptian Football Association, succeeding Amr Al-Ganaini.
And FIFA issued an official statement through its official website announcing the inauguration Ahmed Mujahid Responsibility for the management of the tripartite committee with my members Muhammad Al-Shawarby and Ahmed Hussam El-Din Awad.
The trio will assume responsibility for the management of the Football Association “immediately and until January 31 next year,” according to FIFA.
