Mohamed Barakat, head of the Egyptian national team, announced the inclusion of 6 Al-Ahly players for the Pharaohs’ camp this November, in preparation for the two Togo matches.
Barakat said: “He will join from Al-Ahly, Muhammad Al-Shennawi, Ayman Ashraf, Muhammad Hani, Amr Al-Suliya, Muhammad Majdi Afsha and Hamdi Fathi.”
And he continued: “These players will join the open training field from Wednesday.”
The Egyptian team begins its open field in preparation for the two clashes with Togo from Tuesday, and Hossam Al-Badri, the coach of the national team, had previously announced the inclusion of 5 professionals, namely Mohamed Salah, Ahmed Hegazy , Mohamed Al-Nani, Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet and Ahmed Hassan Kouka, as well as local players from Zamalek to Al-Ahly. Al-Ahly decided their position after qualifying at the expense of Moroccan Wydad by winning a 5-1 aggregate in home and away games, while Zamalek won the first leg 1-0 and will play the second leg on November 4th.
The final of the African Champions League will be held on the 27th of this month.
The Egyptian team is preparing to face Togo twice, back and forth, on November 14 and 17, as part of the African Cup of Nations qualifiers in Cameroon.
