Last week, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah faced an unusual situation with his car, prompting him to seek help.
The Egyptian star was driving his Bentley car down the M6 motorway near Cheshire, when he came across a hole in one of the tires that forced him to stop and asked a rescue and towing company for help.
The lucky one who came to help Salah is a moose named Rob Ridgion, who revealed to the British newspaper “Sun” scenes from his encounter with the Premier League striker on two previous occasions.
“I asked him if he had ridden in a similar salvage truck before, and I told him it was like getting into his Bentley,” Ridgion said.
He continued: “Mo was very polite and I took him home.”
He continued: “When we got there, he went to find his little daughter to show him the car as he got out.”
He revealed: “I told him it was a shame that Liverpool did not celebrate the league title with the fans, but I made sure that Liverpool would win the title again this year.”
That incident was before Liverpool opened their Premier League matches with a dramatic 4-3 win over Leeds United, a match in which Salah shone and scored 3 goals.
Edmund King, head of the rescue company that helped Salah, commented: “Salah’s experience with his car did not affect him on the field, but he scored 3 goals at the end of last week.”
King joked: “My only regret is not making him captain of my team in the Fantasy formation.”
Salah scored for Liverpool in the opening of the English Premier League for the fourth consecutive season.
