Milan coach Stefano Pioli revealed the secret of the team’s good start to the season.
Milan beat Celtic 3-1 in the first round of the European League, extending the unbeaten streak to 21 matches in a row since their return from sporting activity.
Bioli said after the game: “We controlled the game well, and in the second half we were less strong and we took a little risk.”
“It is important to show that we are not just any team showing a bit of motivation after a victory as important as the derby,” he added.
“The secret? We all work in one direction, the club, the coaching staff and the players, we all feel the same,” he added.
And he continued through the Milan Channel: “Our strength is to believe that the next game is always the most important thing, and we must move forward with this mentality.”
“We work better in harmony. I always tell the players to benefit from each moment and to improve more and more, because football trials never end and you always have to prove it,” he added.
He concluded: “On Monday we will face a very important and difficult test against a strong and efficient opponent, especially at the offensive level. We will do our best to continue this positive line.”
Milan are preparing to face Roma at the end of matchday five of the Italian League, in which Milan leads the standings alone with 12 points.
