The Minister of Sports, Ashraf Sobhi, stressed that he will discuss with the tripartite committee that manages the Football Association headed by Ahmed Mujahid all the ways to keep Egyptian football away from the threat of international suspension, in accordance with international conventions and the law. He explained: “Our meeting with them will try by all possible means, taking into account international conventions and Egyptian law, without damaging the position of Egyptian football and preventing it from being subject to international suspension.”

Hisham Hatab, head of the Olympic Committee, stressed that he would like to hold the elections of the Football Association, but that next July it will be in accordance with the sports law.
Hatab said on ON E channel: “Egyptian law meets all international standards. Sports law is approved by all international Olympic federations, including FIFA.”
He added: “We want elections in the Football Association, of course, but the law must be applied. The consequences of not following the law will lead to the elections being contested and, therefore, canceled.”

Regarding the World Handball Championship to be held in Egypt between January 13 and 31, Sobhi said: “All state institutions are ready for the success of the Handball World Championship.
