Zamalek got the safety clearance to face Chad’s Gazelle at Petrosport Stadium.
FilGoal.com learned that Zamalek obtained the security clearance to play the match at the New Cairo stadium, which is the first meeting between the two teams of the two matches to be played in Egypt based on the agreement between the two clubs, next Wednesday, in the 32nd match of the African Champions League.
In the same context, Zamalek leaders are trying, as FilGoal.com knows, with leaders of the African Football Confederation (CAF) and leaders of the Libyan club Al-Ahly Tripoli, to change the date of the match between Gazelle and Al-Abyad , with the match between the Libyan team and the Tunisian Tarji, in the same role.
And in the event that Zamalek reaches an agreement with the two parties, the Libyan Al-Ahly and Tarji match will take place at 2 pm, and the Zamalek match will take place in the afternoon of the same day.
The first leg will take place between Gazelle and Zamalek on December 23, while the return leg will take place on January 6, 2021.
FilGoal.com previously learned that Zamalek managed to arrange with the Chadian club to play both matches in Egypt, and the white club assumed the costs of establishing the Gazelle team in Egypt during this period.
Zamalek are looking to win their sixth Champions League championship, after reaching the final of the last version, but lost to Al-Ahly 2-1.
