Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka said his goal against Chelsea was intentional.
Saka scored the third goal in the Gunners’ victory over Chelsea in round 15 of the Premier League.
“I saw Mindy in front of the goal line so I decided to pass the ball over him,” Saca said after the game, when asked if he intended to serve a cross or fire a shot.
He added via the BBC: “We think we are a good team that has been unlucky in previous results and red cards, but this is a great victory to regain confidence.”
He continued: “It was a difficult match, but we had a successful time, trying to play our best.”
He concluded: “We mature together as a team. All young players want to participate and have a great passion for the club. We want to make the fans happy.”
Alexandre Lacazette, Granit Xhaka and Bukayo Saka scored Arsenal’s goals, while Tami Abraham scored Chelsea’s only goal at the end of the match.
