Big Rami came close to winning the title in 2017, but came in second behind American legend Phil Heath, who dominated first place for 7 years in a row.
The championship was launched in its first edition in 1965, and American Larry Scott won the title in the first two years.
But the most famous Mr. Olympia winner was, and will continue to be, Arnold Schwarzenegger, the former Hollywood superstar and former governor of California.
Schwarzenegger (73 years old), born in Austria, immigrated to the United States in the late 1960s, dominating the Mr. Olympia title in the years 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975 and later announced his retirement , but suddenly came back from retirement after 5 years and won the 1980 title.
Schwarzenegger’s brilliant career in bodybuilding competitions led him to enter the world of acting with force in the eighties, and he was famous for the role of “Conan the Barbarian” and later the series “Destroyer.”
Schwarzenegger subsequently ruled California as a Republican Party candidate between 2003 and 2011.
