Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo revealed the case of his star Cristiano Ronaldo after the Atalanta game, in which he missed a penalty that would give the Bianconeri victory.
Ronaldo led his team, Juventus, to a four-cushion victory over Parma, in the match that brought them together on the thirteenth day of the competition, on Saturday, 3 days after the game against Atalanta.
Pirlo said in comments, especially on his club’s website: “Ronaldo was angry about missing the penalty in the last game, but we had a few days to think about it and he showed his interest in scoring goals.”
“We were not happy with the result on Wednesday, but the performance was good. We had to make up the points we lost against Atalanta and we did it in the best possible way,” he added.
“We needed to win as a team and score, and we did it with good football,” he added.
“We are in a good period. I like the way we attack when we have the ball. We are developing. The right spirit is there, but we are still at the beginning, and we will have to do the same in every game,” he said.
Juventus reached point 27 in third place in the Italian league standings, tied with second-placed Inter Milan.
And one point behind leader Milan, and before facing the two teams in the next round.
As for Parma, their balance is frozen at 12th spot at 15th place on the leaderboard.
