AC Milan legend Paolo Maldini expressed his shame and apology to the late Diego Armando Maradona earlier.
Milan and Naples competed for the Italian League title in the late 1980s and 1990s.
Maldini was confirmed by the censorship of the “golden boy”, so the historical leader of the Rossoneri told the French network “Telfoot”: “You may not be able to catch him.”
He continued: “I was close to him in the Hall of Fame and videos of us were shown together. I always classify myself as a very strong defender.”
“But I have to admit when I saw the pictures and saw the horrible mistakes I made, but this is only because I was watching it, but the apology was late,” he added.
He added: “He was very fast and kicked throughout his career, and throughout the game, I felt embarrassed and apologized after the video.”
“I also remember how quickly he controlled the ball and changed its direction,” he added.
Maradona died at the age of 60 after suffering a heart attack at home.
Argentina declared a state of public mourning for 3 days after the legend’s death.
Maradona spent 7 years with the Napoli jersey, during which he won the Italian League and the European Cup in 5 titles.
