Ceramica is about to be promoted to the Egyptian Premier League for the first time in its history, after its victory over Mars.
Ceramica defeated Mars in the penultimate round of the Cairo group 5-1.
Shadi Hussein and Sherif Dabo doubled, and Ahmed Ghoneim scored a goal in the five-year victory for Ceramica.
Ceramica reached point 42 in the lead, but Petrojet’s victory over the stars postponed the decision for the final round.
Petrojet beat Al Nujoom with two goals to one, to reach point 39.
The direct confrontations are equal between Petrojet and Ceramica, so the latter must win or draw in the last round to officially qualify for the Premier League.
As for Petrojet, they are on a 5 goal win over Mars, with Ceramica losing to the Republic of Shebin.
Ceramica can lose and also qualify for the Premier League, but with the condition of not losing on goal difference, with the aim of winning Petrojet by six to none.
The inner team lost their chances to compete to officially climb after a negative draw with the Republic of Shebin.
The internal balance reached 38 points, leaving the competition in the last round between Ceramica and Petrojet.
The last round will be held next Thursday.
