Mohamed Salah celebrates like Moamen Zakaria after Leeds United’s fourth goal
A tweet appeared on the social network (Twitter) that worried the Egyptian fans in general and the Liverpool fans in particular, since its owner assured that Mohamed Salah, the Reds star, had contracted the Corona virus, then, ¿ what is the truth about it?
FilGoal.com reached out to Liverpool to get an official comment at first.
Matt McCann, director of the English club’s media center, spoke in a brief statement, saying: “We do not comment on the Twitter rumors.”
We did not stop here, to speak to a trusted source close to Liverpool FC, on condition of anonymity.
The source told FilGoal.com upon seeing the tweet: “I don’t think it’s correct.”
He continued: “There are always a lot of rumors, there is nothing official so far, and the club will certainly not comment on any rumors.”
He added: “I think Salah is fine, he was fine in training today in front of me.”
And he continued: “It is not surprising that the tweet has caused a great controversy, it is completely strange.”
“There were rumors about Naby Keita, but they were completely wrong. There is no credibility for the person who wrote the tweet. How much real news did he say about Liverpool? There is no measure of his credibility.”
He continued saying: “The club has a” protocol “and announces as soon as there are confirmed injuries, as happened with Thiago and Mani, I think it is just common, and I understand the concern, but let’s all wait until tomorrow.
On the Egyptian side, Mohamed Abu Al-Ela, the doctor for the Egyptian national team, commented on these “rumors”, “We are closely following what is being said,” he said.
In his statements to FilGoal.com, he stated: “We were not informed about the club or Salah. It is unconfirmed and unreal news.”
“We are working at the moment to communicate with Liverpool and Salah, to control the player.”
Liverpool are preparing to face Aston Villa on Sunday in the fourth round of the English Premier League.
Salah has scored 3 goals in 5 matches in all tournaments since the beginning of the season.
