Junior Ajay celebrates his goal with Al-Ahly at Arsenal
Al-Ahly beat Al-Arsenal by two goals to one in the knockout stages of the Egyptian Cup, as the red team qualified for the quarter-finals to face Abu Qir Fertilizers.
Al-Ahly played their last game under the leadership of Swiss coach Rene Fyler, who is just around the corner from leaving the Red Castle in the next few hours.
Al-Ahly announced a few days ago that a meeting would be held on Thursday morning, in order to make a decision on Rene Fyler’s future with the Red Castle.

Al-Ahly is expected to announce tomorrow, Thursday, October 1, to thank Failer in accordance with the condition of Al-Ahly’s contract with Filer, which allows either party to terminate the contract from October 1 to 10 in a manner free. Petsu Mosimane, the South African coach, was appointed in his place.

Al-Ahly started the game with goalkeeper Mustafa Schubert, who played his first meeting with the Red Team due to the absence of Mohamed El-Shenawy.
Hamdi Fathy also participated in the Heart of Defense Center near Yasser Ibrahim after Rami Rabia was injured and Ayman Ashraf was absent for suspension.
Al-Ahly advanced in the 6th minute through Junior Ajay with a shot from inside the area, following a pass from Aliou Badji.
Ajay added the second goal in the 15th minute, following a Hussein Al-Shahat cross from the right.
And in the 42nd minute, Al-Tarsana scored the first goal with a header from Ibrahim Mansour.
At the beginning of the second half, Fyler pushed right-back Mohamed Hani in place of Mahmoud Waheed, causing Ahmed Fathi to swing to the left-back.
Mahmoud Abdel Moneim “Kahraba” participated in the 64th minute replacing Marwan Mohsen.
Then, Mohamed Shukry, the young Al-Ahly player, entered in place of Aliu Badji to participate in the left wing position, and Ajay became the center of the attack.
Fyler made the last change in time instead of losing to Mohamed Fakhry in place of Afsha, before the referee blew the final whistle for the red team to win.
