The Syrian Football Association decided to deprive Omar Khirbin, the Saudi star of Al Hilal, from permanently representing the national team.

The Syrian Federation held a meeting in the presence of journalists on Thursday to discuss everything related to Syrian football.

At the end of its press conference, the federation announced, through its president, Hatim al-Ghayeb, the Federation’s decisions against Omar Kharbin, which “came unanimously and decided to deprive him of the representation of the national team and detain him from all activities related to the Syrian Federation “.

The story began when the Tunisian Nabil Maaloul, coach of the Syrian national team, decided to exclude Omar Khirbin for his “interference in technical matters”, he announced at the press conference.

However, Saudi star Al Hilal made moving statements to claim that the Tunisian coach “insults and insults some of the team’s players, specifically the newly recruited members.”

Khirbin’s statements caused a major crisis, so the Syrian Federation decided to investigate the matter.

“We investigated and questioned the entire coaching staff, the entire medical staff and administrative staff who are constantly present throughout the team’s field, and they all acknowledged that they did not hear any offense from Nabil Maaloul towards any player,” revealed the president of the federation at the press conference.

He went on to say: “I contacted all the players, and quite a few players mentioned that they had not been the subject of any infringement, and others preferred silence for special reasons related to their relationship with Khirbin.

“Omar is a Syrian player that we respect and appreciate and he had the honor of representing the national team, but his statements offended him, the federation, all the players and the Syrians,” stressed the federation president.

Khirbin, 26, represented the Syrian national team in 45 games and scored 18 goals.
