The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is postponing the semi-finals and final of the African Champions League and the Confederation for a month, and the Egyptian Football Association does not show any objection in this regard, according to FilGoal.com.
FilGoal.com learned from a CAF source that the postponement will be one month and is expected to take place in the next few days, with the welcome from the Egyptian Football Association.
FilGoal.com went to ask a source from the Egyptian Football Association about their position on the postponement.
The source said: “We spoke to KAF and they assured us that the semi-final and final matches will take place for a month. We have no problem to the contrary.”
And he continued: “If the matches are relegated, we will continue in the international break in October to compete in the league and liquidate the first four places before the final date for the club’s registration.”
He continued: “Among the things that have hampered the announcement of the league standings so far in its entirety, is that if the final decision was made to postpone the games, we will be able to announce the schedule naturally.”
He continued: “If the centers are not decided? We talk that the Egyptian teams will be excluded from participating in the preliminary rounds and we will participate in the following roles, and at that point it has been coordinated.”
The African Football Confederation had set September 25 as the date for the semi-finals of the African Champions League between Raja Casablanca and Zamalek, while Al-Ahly will play with Wydad on the 26th in Morocco as well.
As for the Pyramids, Horia will face Guinea on September 22 in the first leg of the Confederation Semifinal. As Nahdet Berkane faces Hassania Agadir on the same day and round.
