The Zamalek and Gazelle match stadium crisis in the African Champions League is close to a solution.

وعلم FilGoal.com The closest thing is to celebrate the game at Petrosport Stadium at noon on Wednesday, December 23.

This is due to the association of the Petrosport stadium with the Libyan match Al-Ahly Tripoli and Esperance from Tunisia on the same Wednesday night, forcing Zamalek to play early so as not to change the day of the match.

A source from the Zamalek club had told FilGoal.com: “The Estadio del Colegio Militar refused to host the match scheduled for next Wednesday.”

He added that “the leaders of the Zamalek club were surprised by their counterparts from the Military College, telling them to make a renovation in the stadium, which causes that the two games are not held at home and away from home.”

“The club officials are making contacts in the current period to transfer the match to Petrosport or any other stadium in view of the desire to hold the match in Cairo,” he added.

He concluded: “In the event that the meeting in Cairo fails, he will move out of it.”

And Zamalek had previously addressed the Football Association to hold the match at the Colegio Militar stadium after receiving security clearances.

The first leg will take place between Gazelle and Zamalek on December 23, while the return leg will take place on January 6, 2021.

FilGoal.com previously learned that Zamalek managed to arrange with the Chadian club to play both matches in Egypt, and the white club assumed the costs of establishing the Gazelle team in Egypt during this period.

Zamalek are looking to win their sixth Champions League championship, after reaching the final of the last version, but lost to Al-Ahly 2-1.
