Midfielder Karim Walid “Nedved” Al-Ahly revealed that he was unable to play football again due to injury.
And Nedved answered the question (Has the doctor told him that he will never be able to play football again?) By saying, “No, it never happened.”
“No doctor told me that I would never play football again,” he added in his remarks on Sada Al-Balad TV.
“Everything that was said at the time is not true at all,” he said.
He noted: “We went through a very important stage in the rehabilitation of an injury and now we are in the most difficult and important stage.”
He explained, “Rehabilitation takes place in 3 stages, the physical therapy stage, then muscle building, and that’s the most important stage.”
He added: “There is no specific time for my return date, and the club is in no rush to do so, because we are walking day by day. Things are completely stable now and I hope they continue like this.
Nedved wanted to send a message of thanks to Mahmoud Al-Khatib, President of Al-Ahly, saying: “I thank Mahmoud Al-Khatib for not being late to us (as a group of injured players) on anything.
Nedved suffered a cartilage injury in his knee against Egypt for clearance in April last year and has since been absent from Al-Ahmar, and has traveled to Germany 3 times for two surgeries and medical examinations.
In total, Nedved played 104 games for Al-Ahly, scoring 10 goals.
Nedved mentioned talking about Ramadan Sobhi and his decision to move to the pyramids, saying, “Did Ramadan Sobhi move to the pyramids? I don’t like to express my opinion in public.”
“Ramadan is a brother to me, and each person has his decisions and his life and looks at his life in a certain way, and each person has to respect opinions,” he explained.
