Nader Shawky, Ahmed Fathi’s former agent, revealed that the Pyramids wanted to recruit him last January.
Fathi moved on a free contract to Pyramids starting the new season after the end of his contract with Al-Ahly, but it was a move that would likely happen sooner, according to Nader Shawky.
Nader Shawky said on On Time Sports 1: “My only dispute with Fathy was how he left Al-Ahly.”
He continued: “He had to declare his desire to join the Pyramids from January or February and not make Al-Ahly a party.”
He added: “Pyramids made an offer to Al-Ahly in August to join Fathi for £ 15 million, to join them last January, and Mamdouh Eid met with Sayed Abdel Hafeez and the player, but Al-Ahly declined the offer.
He concluded: “Fathi was very intelligent in his handling of the situation in general with regard to his last period with Al-Ahly.”
Fathi had played his farewell match with Al-Ahly on the final matchday of the league against Tale’aa Al-Jaish.
Nader Shawky turned to talk about his relationship with his clients, Imad Muteb and Hussam Ghali: “There was never a written contract between Imad Miteb or Hussam Ghaly and me, this is a generation of men.”
He also commented on Muhammad Mahmoud’s misfortune with injuries: “I don’t feel sorry for Muhammad Mahmoud, because he is a very believer and Azari, sometimes I envy him for his patience.
Nader Shawky revealed: “Hossam Ghaly is preparing to enter the Al-Ahly elections. He will definitely be on Al-Khatib’s list.”
He explained: “At the beginning of my presence in El Gouna, I asked for Zamalek players, but I did not receive a response from them, unlike what happened with Al-Ahly.”
He concluded: “I regretted the representation of Amr Warda a little, it was difficult for me to understand and frankly it was my fault.”
