Rolani Moccuena, general coach of the Pitso Mosimani apparatus at Sundowns, stressed that he would like to apologize to the coach, and to Al-Ahly, for not joining the South African coaching staff in Egypt.

Mukwena issued a statement announcing its decision. (See details)

“It was a tough decision,” Mocoyna told FilGoal.com.

He stressed: “I would like to apologize to Musimani and Al-Ahly. Pizzo is an older brother and I learned a lot from him.”

“But I thought it was better to stay here at Sundowns,” he revealed.

“I wish Pizzo Mosimane success, as he is the pride of all of us, and I thank the Sundowns management for their support to continue working at the club,” he added.

Musimani, 56, signed a two-year contract with Al-Ahly, and his mission begins with the Red Castle in a strong showdown against the Arab Contractors on Sunday in the Egyptian Premier League.

Their most important mission will be in the African Champions League, in which Al-Ahly play Wydad in the semi-finals.

Al-Ahly will be invited to Wydad on October 17, and after 6 days he will host the return, and if he crosses to the final, he will face Zamalek or Raja.

Mosimane won the Champions League in 2016 with his former club Mamelodi Sundowns.

He served as coach of the South African national team from 2010 to 2012.
