He continued: “I do not know the reason for the resignation of Mazen Marzouq, director of the Competitions Committee, but he announced his decision as soon as he learned of my appointment decision by the International Football Association.”

He added: “No problem … we decided that the tripartite committee would deal with matters until the club association is established, where the leaders of the first division clubs will meet next Wednesday to form the association that will be in charge of elect the head of the competition committee “.

Ahmed Mujahid concluded his remarks: “The tripartite committee includes Muhammad Al-Shawarby, who was the director of the 2017 Nations Cup in Gabon, while Mazen Marzouq was a coordinator, with due respect to the latter.”
