Mortada Mansour, Chairman of the Zamalek Board of Directors, said that he has not and will not be wrong in restricting Egypt, while emphasizing that he loves his country and always supports it.
This came during Mortada’s meeting today, Thursday, with those responsible for Zamalek’s links through various social media sites.
He added: “Zamalek is in danger and is likely to be demolished.”
He continued: “I tell everyone in Egypt two great clubs, Al-Ahly, whom I respect and respect for their fans and Zamalek, but the Al-Ahly board of directors cannot elect the president of Zamalek. How could that happen? This is a disaster”.
And he added: “They talk about the crisis before the important tournament, but I refuse.”
He continued: “I am against violence whatever happens, and I ask any fan to adhere and not go to the streets.”
Mortada stressed that “Zamalek will not be part of the attempts to generate intolerance and chaos.”
“Give us justice and security, just like Al-Ahly. The football team collapses and everyone wants to leave because of instability, and the board of directors carries a lot of burden beyond its capacity,” he added.
Mortada sent a message to Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhi, saying: “With all due respect to him as a statesman, he did not support Zamalek with money and the club was developed with the funds of the members and not with the Sports Ministry.”
And he added: “What is between the minister and me is the law and the constitution, and I tell him that if he has the right to dissolve the administration or be isolated, do so, but what is happening now is unacceptable.”
He continued: “How do I work in this difficult climate? I adopted the Zamalek club roster, and now they are canceling it so that the club is left without a roster and without a president.”
He concluded: “Why don’t they talk about rapes in Al-Ahly? We don’t have a single rape in Zamalek.”
