Kevin Johnson, Pitso Musimani’s assistant, appeared at Al-Ahly training today, Saturday, for the first time.
Johnson recently came to Cairo to join Musimani’s coaching staff at Al-Ahly.
Training saw team goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy return to training with the ball, after recovering from a sore connective muscle.
El-Shennawi participated in the goalkeeper’s training, in order to prepare him for the Moroccan Wydad’s match in the semi-finals of the African Champions League.
Ayman Ashraf and Ali Badji also participated in team training exercises that took place at the island’s touch stadium.
Ayman Ashraf finished his rehab program to recover from calf muscle fatigue.
Meanwhile, Badji has recovered from his recent ankle pain.
Meanwhile, Mahmoud Waheed continued his rehabilitation at the gym after sustaining a connective muscle injury.
The same applies to Saad Samir, who has come a long way back to the stadiums after coming close to recovering from an Achilles tendon injury.
Al-Ahly will play against Pyramids tomorrow Sunday, in the 33rd round of the semi-finals of the Egyptian League.
