Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp believes his team has suffered arbitrary injustice in some of their Premier League matches this season.
Liverpool overcame their loss to Sheffield United with a 2-1 win on matchday six of the English Premier League.
Klopp said of Sheffield’s penalty: “There was no mistake. Only 6 rounds of the English Premier League have passed, and here we have been subject to refereeing injustice in 3 matches.”
He added, in statements, especially on his club’s website: “We don’t want arbitration to be on our side, we just want them not to hurt us.
“We started the game well and then Sheffield was awarded a penalty kick to put them in a better position. Until then, our goalkeepers had not been threatened.”
On the match, Klopp said: “We defended our goal well and played with great spirit, so I am satisfied with what the players did against Sheffield.”
He concluded: “It was a difficult week in which we played 3 games against difficult teams. We got two victories after the draw in the derby against Everton. I am happy with the reaction we showed.”
Liverpool are preparing to face the Dane’s Metjeland in the Champions League on Tuesday.
