Kavin Johnson, Al-Ahly’s new head coach, revealed that he had agreed to offer Pitso Mosimane, the team’s coach, to join his coaching staff quickly.
Johnson told FilGoal.com: “I am happy with this great step in my career. I thank Musimani and Al-Ahly for giving me this opportunity.”
He highlighted: “It is an honor and a great challenge to work within the Century Club in Africa, as well as to work with Musimane, who I believe is the best African coach of the moment.”
Johnson revealed the negotiations behind the scenes, saying: “After Mosimane spoke to me, I didn’t think much and gave him my approval. There is no problem working as an assistant although I am a technical director. I prepared the travel papers to Cairo and will travel in early hours of Tuesday. “

Johnson played 12 games against Musimane, won 2 of them and drew 6 times.
Musimani began his campaign at Al-Ahly with a 1-0 win over the Arab Contractors on Sunday.
