Ala’a Wahid, the official spokesman for the Ismaili club, commented on the news linking the dervishes with Alio Badji, the Al-Ahly striker.
“I have no information about it,” Wahid said during the day when asked about Badji’s loan.
He added: “But all matters are yet to come, especially with the very good relations between the Ismaili administration and Al-Ahly.”
He continued: “I know the work philosophy of the Hiring Committee and the directives of the Board of Directors. We are open to all options, and what interests the club is what will be done.”
He revealed: “Mahmoud Metwally’s sales contract stipulated the possibility for the Ismaili to borrow players from Al-Ahly, but some of the players were proud of the Ismaili due to financial compensation and their preference for other clubs.”
He explained: “Ismaily went through a catastrophic season, which is the worst in history. There is a mistake that we must admit and it should not happen again.”
He continued: “Ari Babel chose Ismaily according to his wish. He sees him as a gateway to play for a European club.”
He continued: “There are other important agreements that we will make. One of the players already arrived in Egypt today.”
He concluded: “We do not sell Baher al-Muhammadi or Abd al-Rahman Majdi. The first contract was extended for 3 seasons, and the second contract was extended for 5 and a half seasons, and both expressed their desire to continue with Ismaili.” .
